Gadgeteer Pilot Project

The ICT Department have been lucky to be accepted as one of 10 departments in the UK to take part in Microsoft’s Gadgeteer Pilot Project. The Pilot Project features the use of Microsoft’s C# programming language to program individual modules that slot together to create gadgets such as digital cameras, stopwatches, MP3 players or even games.

Massive investment Unveiled in secondary education in Witham

The first major instalment of a massive £50million investment in secondary education in Witham has been officially opened at Maltings Academy in Spinks Lane on Tuesday 11 October by Schools Commissioner, Dr Elizabeth Sidwell CBE.

Students at Maltings Academy have achieved A Level results that show the academy continues to achieve high standards. This is great news as the academy strives to improve educational standards for students in Witham and is about to begin the new academic year in its brand new building, which will have some of the best teaching and learning facilities in the country.
