Visit from Michelle Gayle

Maltings Academy had a visit from Michelle Gayle, former Eastenders actress and pop star, today.

Now the author of two novels for teens 12 - 14, Michelle is a popular speaker. She was very inspiring and gave the girls extremely positive messages about not getting sucked into 'WAG' culture (she was formerly married to footballer Mark Bright).

Michelle talked about her YA books, Don’t Lie To Me, Robbie Wilkins and the sequel, Say You Love Me, Stevie C.

Art Exhibition - Wednesday 26 June

The Summer Art Exhibition will be held in the Atrium and Art rooms on Wednesday 26 June 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and see a variety of KS3, BTEC, GCSE and A Level work. There will be refreshments, music and entertainment on the night. Awards will be presented in the main hall at 5:30pm.
