Where Are They Now?
Find out what some former students have been up to in the profiles below.
Peter RobsonPeter left Maltings Academy in the summer of 2011 after completing A levels.
He then embarked on a degree course at the University of Leeds, studying within two subject areas - Economics and Japanese.
Throughout his time at university, he also took up modules in other languages such as Italian, Vietnamese and German. In addition, he spent a year abroad studying Japanese at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
He undertook a summer internship with Deloitte, one of the 'big four' accounting firms in the summer of 2014 and will join them as a Japanese speaking Tax Associate this September in the Japan Human Capital department in London.
Peter says "University has been challenging, but the quality of education has been excellent. Despite the difficulty and intensity of the course, I've really got a lot out of it and have had so many life-shaping experiences that I wouldn't have had, had I not gone to university. Gaining competency in another foreign language is one thing, but the experience overall is what really made it."
