Learning Forum

Who are we?

The learning forum is a group of students from all year groups. You may remember being asked if you were interested in during assembly?  Well, a great group of students volunteered, and they make up Maltings Academy Learning Forum.

 What are we all about?

The main aim of the group is to look at ways to improve our learning, and basically our overall enjoyment in lessons and at our Academy.  This in turn will hopefully help to improve standards and also help us to achieve the best grades and levels possible.

When do we meet?

We meet at the end of every half term and look at a different topic every term. Before the meeting we spend time gathering information and ideas on the topic that we are reviewing.  This could be anything from reports, honours assemblies, marking and assessment, or anything to do with factors that affect our learning.

What can you do to help us?

Everyone can have their say!  You can do this in two ways:

  1. Give you thoughts on our current topic to your year rep (see the Learning Ambassador list), or any learning ambassador. They will note down your ideas and bring it to the next meeting for discussion.
  2. There will also be a sheet going round in tutor every half term for you to put down your opinions and have your say!
