Activities on offer at Maltings Academy

On an average week Maltings Academy offers over 85 different clubs to the students.  This offer encompasses all manner of different opportunities from study sessions, GCSE revision, art, chess and other recreational clubs.  Some of the most popular are:

Sports

There is a wide variety of team and individual sports on offer, with opportunities for recreational participation, competitive clubs or competitive matches against other schools. The Academy has an excellent record in completing competitive sports fixtures against other schools both locally and regionally.

Arts

Extensive opportunities exist to take part in dramatic productions, musicals, bands. choirs, ensembles, dance productions and Drama classes.

Opportunities exist before, during and after school to support work in the classroom. The Library is open from 8.00 in the morning and after school. This gives students access to computer facilities as well as other learning resources.  Students are also now encouraged to utilise the reataurant area for private study, where they can access hot drinks and food all day too.
