Interim Drop Off/Pick Up Point at Maltings Academy

Please be aware that the traffic outside the Academy is very busy. We ask that parents do not drop off/collect students directly outside the Academy gates as this adds to congestion and obscures the zebra crossing. The interim drop off point for students will be the staff car park, located at the tennis courts of the old building. Students will then need to walk along Spinks Lane to the new academy entrance. Please do not use the Adult Education car park opposite the Academy for drop off/collection of students. The Academy advises that all students are to use the zebra crossing for their own safety.

Message from the Principal

Image: John SzynalAt Maltings Academy our aim is to create a centre of excellence with a clear focus on students being happy and having the opportunity to succeed both in the academic arena and in extra-curricular activities. We place great emphasis on 'Discipline with Dignity', in order to foster a supportive and friendly atmosphere for each individual, which will help them develop into responsible members of the community who have high aspirations and a belief in their own abilities.

"We have a wonderful opportunity for new beginnings and as Principal, my expectations are for people to be happy in the academy, for everyone to be polite, smile and be courteous at all times (holding doors open is a prime example), and ‘To make our best better’."

We would be delighted for you to visit the Academy to see our pleasant, vibrant, disciplined environment.

J Szynal
