Raising funds for Isabella: A severely disabled little girl could be given a revolutionary treatment if enough money can be raised to send her for special treatment in America. Little Isabella Cox, was born with a chromosome disorder so rare it does not even have a name. She has heart defects, suffers severe epileptic seizures and is registered blind. But there could be some hope on the horizon for Isabella if her parents, can raise £15,000 for her to receive treatment at the world-leading Therapies for Kids centre in Miami. Maltings staff, students and parents have been raising money to help give her a fighting chance of living a fuller life.
Children in Need: On Wednesday 18 November, year 7 students helped to raise £270 for ‘Children In Need’. ‘Red’ house students raised the most money, total £113.38. The rest of year 7 were allowed, during the last lesson of the day, to also partake in activities as a surprise. The Sixth Form Committee very kindly made the total raised up to £300.
